Tinka Results Show More to Come from South Ayawilca

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) reported results from an additional 3 holes drilled at its South Ayawilca discovery in Peru (Figure 1). Hole A17-096 intersected high-grade mineralization grading 7.8% Zn, 8 g/t Ag and 111 g/t In over 45.5m, including 15.5% Zn, 0.1% Pb, 23 g/t Ag and 320 g/t In over 10.6m. Infill hole A17-093 connected South Ayawilca with the Central Ayawilca resource zone, and step-out hole A17-094 intersected 1.6% Zn, 2.1% Pb, 193 g/t Ag over 1.2m, 200m out. Results follow recent exploration success achieved by Tinka, highlighting Ayawilca’s potential to add high-grade zinc to its resource. Drilling at South Ayawilca will continue until December with drilling also targeting Central Ayawilca. The company is expecting to complete an updated resource by early November for its Ayawilca zinc project. We believe as Tinka continues to demonstrate exploration upside at Ayawilca it should support and may expand the current premium it trades at relative to peers (C$0.03/lbs vs. C$0.01/lbs ZnEq). read more

Tinka Delivers More High Grades out of South Ayawilca

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) reported results from an additional nine step-out holes drilled at its Ayawilca zinc project in Peru (Figure 1). At South Ayawilca, results intersected high grade mineralization along the western end in hole A17-089 grading 16.7% Zn, 33 g/t Ag and 681 g/t In over 10.8m, as well in hole A17-087 grading 9.6% Zn, 0.1% Pb, 472 g/t Ag and 15 g/t In over 0.9m. Drilling at West Ayawilca expanded mineralization (holes A17-083 and A17-085), intersecting 8.0% Zn, 0.6% Pb, 61g/t Ag and 133 g/t In over 2.9m in hole A17-083. Initial results from Chaucha, Zone 3 and Valley target areas were reported, which although lacked significant zinc mineralization the company is planning more drilling in 2018 to further understand these areas. Notably, Tinka expects to update the Ayawilca zinc resource in early November which will include mineralization from South Ayawilca (2 holes pending), step-out drilling at South Ayawilca will continue until December. We believe as Tinka continues to demonstrate exploration upside at Ayawilca it should support and may expand the current premium it trades at relative to peers (C$0.03/lbs vs. C$0.01/lbs ZnEq). read more

Tinka Expands Mineralization at Ayawilca

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd (TSXV:TK) reported results from an additional five step-out holes completed at its Ayawilca zinc project in Peru (Figure 1). High grade results from both holes (A17-079 and A17-080) drilled in the West Ayawilca zinc zone, extended the zone by ~150m to the northeast. Drill results intersected 5.2% Zn, 0.2% Pb and 65 g/t In over 36.3m including 12.5% Zn and 103 g/t In over 5.5m (A17-079). In the South Ayawilca zone, mineralization was intersected 250m east of a previously drilled hole (A17-075), which remains open over 700m. In addition, one hole was drilled in the Central Ayawilca zone, intersecting additional high grade zinc, and highlighting the other opportunities that exist within Ayawilca. Exploration continues at Ayawilca, with a resource upgrade expected in Q4 2017. We believe as Tinka continues to demonstrate exploration upside at Ayawilca it should support and may expand the current premium it trades at relative to peers (C$0.03/lbs vs. C$0.01/lbs ZnEq). read more

Tinka Extends South Ayawilca; Drilling Continues

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd (TSXV:TK) reported results from five step-out drill holes targeting South Ayawilca, West Ayawilca and Zone 3 at its Ayawilca zinc project in central Peru (Figure 1). Results continue to demonstrate the exploration upside at this project having extended South Ayawilca by 200m southeast with hole A17-071 which returned 8.4% Zn, 0.8% Pb and 35 g/t Ag over 22.8m. Interestingly, hole A17-072 returned 11.5m of 2.9% Zn, 2.3% Pb and 781 g/t Ag from a different style of mineralization (sulphides as cavity fillings in recrystallized limestone versus massive sulphides) than seen elsewhere on the property. More drilling is needed to determine the potential impact of this different mineralization. As well, drilling at West Ayawilca intersected high-grade zinc of 31.0% Zn over 2.2m. Hole A17-081 will follow-up on initial results from Zone 3, as drilling continues at all targets, including step-out holes in South Ayawilca and West Ayawilca. We believe as Tinka continues to demonstrate exploration upside at Ayawilca it should support and may expand the current premium it trades at relative to peers (C$0.04/lbs vs. C$0.01/lbs ZnEq). read more

TK Results Support Resource Growth Potential

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd (TSXV:TK) released results from five holes targeting the South Ayawilca and extension of the Central Ayawilca areas at its Ayawilca zinc project in central Peru. Zinc mineralization was confirmed over a 300m strike length at South Ayawilca, suggesting it connects to Central Ayawilca (Hole A17-068 – Figure 1). Drilling intersected more high grades, highlighted by 10.4 % Zn, 17 g/t Ag & 278 g/t In over 29.3m (Hole A17-069). We believe results further support the potential for resource growth. The ~30-hole program is ongoing, with results pending for both zinc and tin. The company continues to test West Ayawilca as well as targets at Zone 3 and Chaucha. Tinka currently trades at C$0.03/lbs ZnEq, higher than other peers in the zinc space, which trade at C$0.01/lbs ZnEq. While the current valuation is at a premium to peers, when considering the project’s exploration potential, in our view some upside remains for Tinka shares. read more

TK Site Visit: Just Scratching the Surface of Ayawilca's Potential

Download Report

Last week we had the opportunity to visit Tinka Resources Ltd’s (TSXV:TK) wholly owned Ayawilca zinc project, in central Peru. Although still early days, we were impressed by recent drilling success at South Ayawilca, Tinka’s first foray outside of the Ayawilca Zinc Zone, which hosts an Inferred Resource of 18.8Mt at 8.2% ZnEq. Given there are several other coincident geochemical and geophysical targets to be tested on this 15,000 Ha property, we expect Tinka to continue to expand resources and believe potential exists for the discovery of another zone. read more

RCKS Drilling Deeper Lunch; Focus on Zinc

Download Report

Yesterday, Red Cloud Klondike Strike Inc. (RCKS) hosted another installment of our Drilling Deeper Lunch series, this time featuring three zinc companies, a producer, a developer, and an explorer. The presenting companies were Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK), Ascendant Resources Inc. (TSXV:ASND) and Aquila Resources Inc. (TSX:AQA). We believe all three presenters are well positioned to take advantage of the strong fundamentals we see for zinc.  read more
