More Exploration Success for Tinka; New Discovery at Zone 3

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) reported results from six new drill holes at its Ayawilca project, announcing a new discovery at Zone 3, intersecting significant mineralization for the first time in hole A17-091A, and extending it at depth from 480m to 625m. As compared to Central Ayawilca and South Ayawilca, Zone 3 appears to be considerably deeper. The discovery suggests further resource growth is likely, as it extends outside of the recently updated resource boundary (Figure 1). Furthermore, Tinka still has three untested targets, Valley, Chaucha (north) and Yanapizgo (south). The company will continue to drill into 2018, with a drill rig operating at Zone 3 to follow-up on these results, which is expected to be funded by cash from the recent warrant exercise. At C$0.016/lb Zn, Tinka trades at a discount to peers at C$0.024/lb Zn. We believe that the ongoing drilling updates and the significant exploration potential of the Ayawilca property should be important catalysts for the company. read more

Tinka Adds C$3.7M in Cash with Warrant Exercise

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) received total proceeds of C$3.7 million from the exercise of 12,632,660 (priced at C$0.30) common share purchase warrants, that expired on November 29, 2017, from a May 2015 financing. We note, this warrant exercise may have partially caused the recent weak share price performance. The company will use the cash for further exploration drilling and resource development at Ayawilca in 2018. At C$0.018/lb Zn, Tinka trades at a discount to peers at C$0.025/lb Zn. We believe that the ongoing drilling updates and the significant exploration potential of the Ayawilca property should be important catalysts for the company.  read more

Tinka Increases Zinc Resources by 130%

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) has announced a Mineral Resource update on its 100% owned Ayawilca zinc-indium-silver-lead sulphide deposit in Peru, which includes ~15,000m of drilling completed so far in 2017. The company updated both the zinc and tin inferred resources on the property, which are now estimated to be 42.7Mt of 7.3% ZnEq and 10.5Mt of 0.70% SnEq, respectively (Figure 1 and Figure 2). This resource update reflects an increase of 130% in contained zinc and an increase of 60% in contained tin compared to the last resource update in May 2016.  read more

Tinka Reports Tin Results; Resource Update on the Horizon

Download Report

Tinka Resources Ltd. (TSXV:TK) reported assay results from eight drill holes on its South Ayawilca zinc discovery in Peru. The company announced tin intercepts of 1.6% tin over 13 meters in the tin mineralization on the property, which is physically separated from the zin zones. The tin mineralization on the property is predominantly in the form of SnO2, disseminated in flat-lying massive to semi-massive pyrrhotite mantos. The tin intersections at South Ayawilca allow the connection and expansion of the previously identified tin mineralization at Central Ayawilca (Figure 1), which has included intercepts such as 50.5m of 1.23% tin. In addition to the reported tin assays, Tinka released assays of four new zinc drill holes, which included 8m of 14.8% Zn at a depth of 52m. These reported assays in addition to those released earlier in the drill program will be included in the zinc and tin resource updates expected this month. Two drill rigs are continuing to test new targets through step-out drilling at South Ayawilca and will continue until December. We believe as Tinka continues to demonstrate exploration upside at Ayawilca and it should support and may expand the current premium it trades at relative to peers (C$0.042/lbs vs. C$0.015/lbs ZnEq).  read more
