NM Reports More Drilling Success at Sterling

Download Report

Northern Empire Resources Corp. (TSXV:NM) has announced the results from seven drill holes from the Sterling mine, Nevada. The company highlighted intersections of 10.00m grading 14.59 g/t Au (STR17-041C), 9.05m grading 8.66 g/t Au (STR17-010C) and 7.59m grading 8.25 g/t Au (STR17-013C). Many of these drill holes intersected high-grade oxide mineralization on the edges of the company’s resource model indicating that the deposit is open in several directions. The Sterling mine currently hosts inferred resources of 9.9 Mt grading 2.23 g/t Au as at March 29, 2017. The results of these 7 drill holes support the company’s resource model of the Sterling property, which is considered to be relatively narrow, high grade and possess excellent metallurgy. At C$54/oz, Northern Empire trades closely to peers at C$62/oz; however, our view is at the current EV of ~C$38.4 million, the market is ascribing value to either the exploration potential of the company’s Crown project or to the permitted Sterling mine, but not both.  read more

NM Releases Near-Mine Drill Results from Sterling

Download Report

Northern Empire Resources Corp. (TSXV:NM) has announced the results from the first 24 drill holes from the Sterling Mine, Nevada. The company hit various broader zones of mineralization including 12.2m of 8.37 g/t Au at a depth of 53m. The Sterling Gold Mine is located within the company’s 116 square kilometre Sterling Gold Property in Nye county Nevada, which currently hosts inferred resources of 9.9 Mt grading 2.23 g/t Au as at March 29, 2017. The results of these first 24 drill holes support the company’s resource model of the Sterling property, which is considered to be relatively narrow, high grade and possess excellent metallurgy. At C$57/oz, Northern Empire trades closely to peers at C$58/oz; however, our view is at the current EV of ~C$39 million, the market is ascribing value to either the exploration potential of the company’s Crown project or to the permitted Sterling mine, but not both.  read more

NM Expands Sterling Property

Download Report

Northern Empire Resources Corp. (TSXV:NM) has announced the expansion of the Sterling property in Nye County, Nevada by acquiring 261 claims to bring the total land package to 116 square kilometres. The company has now become a dominant landholder in the Bare Mountains district, which includes the past producing Sterling, 144, Daisy, Secret Pass and Mother Lode deposits. The Sterling mine is currently permitted to restart operations and the property hosts total inferred resources of 709,000 oz with an average grade of 2.23 g/t Au. The company’s hyperspectral data identified areas of alteration on the property that will be assessed by their geological team in the coming weeks. At C$56/oz, Northern Empire trades closely to peers at C$60/oz; however, our view is at the current EV of ~C$39 million, the market is ascribing value to either the exploration potential of the company’s Crown project or to the permitted Sterling mine, but not both.  read more

Site Visit: NM’s Sterling Mine - There’s Something Out There

Download Report

Recently we visited Northern Empire Resources Corp.’s (TSXV:NM) Sterling mine and Crown project’s which interestingly is close to the fabled Area 51, Barrick Gold’s (TSX:ABX) past producing Bullfrog Mine (2.3M oz Au produced), and Corvus Gold’s (TSX:KOR) North Bullfrog (1.5M oz at 0.29 g/t Au and 6.6 Moz of at 1.25 g/t Ag) and Mother Lode (within Northern Empires claims) projects in Nevada. In our view, the company benefits from both an economic permitted small scale operation (30-40k oz Au/year) at Sterling and an exciting exploration project on the northern portion of the property (Crown project). Based on our site visit, we believe the current EV of ~C$31 million the market is ascribing, values either the exploration potential of the Crown project or the permitted Sterling mine, but not both.  read more
