To the west of Val-d’Or in the Abitibi region, the company owns the Marban Block property, which includes three past producing mines. As of May 2017, 45,000m of drilling has been completed at its Garrison gold project in Ontario, with 25,000m of drilling added to the project.

Morning & Afternoon Presenters

Stornoway Diamond Corp. (TSX:SWY) operates Quebec’s first diamond mine, the Renard Mine in the James Bay region of north-central Quebec. On January 1, 2017, the company began commercial production and on May 16, 2017, announced the mine had produced 1 million carats of diamonds. On average Renard is expected to produce 1.6 million carats per year over a 14-year mine life.

Monarques Gold Corp. (TSXV:MQR) owns ~200km² of gold exploration properties along the Cadillac Break, which includes its flagship project, the Croinor Gold property. In November 2016, Monarques acquired the fully-permitted 750 tpd Beacon Mill, which is ~60km from Croinor and in the vicinity of the company's other properties, Simkar and Regcourt. Exploration activities are ongoing at Croinor, expecting the program to increase beyond 10,000m.

Metanor Resources Inc. (TSXV:MTO) owns the producing Bachelor mine northeast of Val d’Or, Quebec, producing ~35k oz Au per year. In addition, the company owns exploration properties in Quebec and Ontario, including the Barry gold project located in the Urban-Barry district. The company is continuing exploration activities on both its Bachelor mine and Barry project throughout the year, focusing on advancing its Barry project towards production in 2018.

Superior Gold Inc. (TSXV:SGI) acquired the Plutonic Gold Mine located in Western Australia in October 2016, producing over 5 million oz Au from open-pit and underground operations since 1990. The company has guided ~75-80k oz Au of production for 2017, achieving 20,769 oz Au of production in Q1 2017. In the near-term, the company is focused on increasing annual production to 100k oz Au in 2018 and eventually beyond through exploration and expansions at the mine.

Alexandria Minerals Corp. (TSXV:AZX) owns a portfolio of properties in Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba. The gold explorer and developer is focused on its Cadillac Break property in Val d’Or, undertaking a drill program to update the resource estimate by the end of 2017.
